Beginning and End

Beginning and End” – When you read this literally it means it’s in the same place, imagine a runner standing in a running race and we say it’s the beginning and it's the end.

But Spiritually God defines this in a different way. I am sharing what God taught me on Revelation 21:6

'He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. ' Revelation 21:6

Read this verse slowly at least two times before you read further. I did observe many things when I read this verse

Beginning and End

  • It is Done” – which means I have figured this out, its completed. Jesus has figured this out in the cross of Calvary. This is explained by Paul in Ephesians 1

'For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfilment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ. ' Ephesians 1:4-10

  • He chose us before the creation of world

  • In Love he has adopted us thru Jesus Christ

  • In him we have redemption thru the blood of Jesus

  • In him we have forgiveness of Sins

  • In him we have his Grace lavished on us

  • In him we have the wisdom and understanding to live a life according to his will

  • All this is done to bring “Heaven and Earth” under Jesus Christ.

  • “The” – the word “The” repeated 4 times. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End”, this means there is only one Person that’s Jesus who is, who has this authority. No one has this authority outside Jesus to do this.

  • “Alpha and Omega” - it’s the first letter in Greek and last letter in Greek and he is the beginning and end.

  • First and the Last” - The title the First and the Last is also irrefutable proof that Jesus is Yahweh. Beginning (First) and End (Last) - This is to fulfil the promise in Isaiah 14:4

'Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord —with the first of them and with the last—I am he.” ' Isaiah 41:4

  • He doesn’t just know the beginning, he doesn’t just know the ending, He knows everything that he’s going to do in between.

  • He knew before you were born and how many times he would bless you.

  • He already knows every work that he is going to do.

  • He’s not just aware of your troubles and your trials.

  • He is not just aware of your worries and your weaknesses.

  • He already knows how he’s going to encourage you.

  • He already knows how he’s going to strengthen you.

  • He knows that because He is the author and the finisher of your faith!

Inheriting the promise

Yes, Jesus knows what we are from our beginning to the end and what each step of our life will be, so how do we get this blessing of Jesus leading us thru. It’s fulfilled in the later part of the Verse

To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Revelation 21:6

  • Faith in Jesus: The key to this is having Faith in Jesus and trusting him that he will end whatever trials you’re going thru, no matter how bad the situation may be, no matter how bad your sins may be. He is there to take care of all that’s there in you. The first step to solving your problem is first putting your trust in Jesus with whole heart 100%, that’s the faith he expects.

  • Spring of the water of life” - He says I will give you the water without cost completely free if you just trust him, seek him and he will guide you by his words “spring of the water of life

What does a thirsty man do to get rid of his thirst? He drinks. Perhaps there is no better representation of faith in all the Word of God than that. To drink is to receive-to take in the refreshing draught-and that is all. A man’s face may be unwashed (Think of this on the sins we have), but he can drink; he may be a very unworthy character, but a draught of water will remove his thirst. Drinking is such a remarkably easy thing; it is even more simple than eating.” (Spurgeon)

  • He who overcomes shall inherit all things: Those who overcome (by faith in Jesus, as in 1 John 5:5) enjoy a special relationship with God, this is also reiterated in Revelation 22:17

'Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. ' 1 John 5:5

'The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. ' Revelation 22:17

  • Once you start drinking the springs, he will make you “All things new”

All things new

'He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” ' Revelation 21:5

  • This statement is in the present tense, “I am making everything new.” This is the consummation of God’s work of renewal and redemption, having begun here and now in our present time.

  • Paul saw this transformation at work on he describes this in 2 Corinthians 4:16 & 2 Corinthians 5:17

'Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. ' 2 Corinthians 4:16

'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! ' 2 Corinthians 5:17

  • Everything new is not possible in the world, we buy a cell phone or house once it’s old, unless you recycle or rebuild it cannot become new.

  • But with God, it’s possible, once we surrender and start walking according to his will, he will make everything new like how Paul describes in in 2 Corinthians 4:16 & 2 Corinthians 5:17 he will Renewed day by day, the old in us will go away, the sins we have will go away and we will be made a new person

  • New being is not just to make us prospers in earth but to his eternal plan that’s more important

  • All this promise will be fulfilled as his words are “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

The key to beginning and end is to have Faith in Jesus and walking with him, he will take care of you and transform you to make your life “Everything new”. Remember he is the only person in the heaven and earth who can do this. Grab this promise of “Beginning and End” by following this and stay blessed
